Specimens like this are uncommon these days It  is from an old Tasmanian collection

Old Lacquer Plate Spain blue colour showing a 6A pristine Burmese lacquer plate from Ava or Inwa the ancient capital. This lacquer plate was used for everyday purpose but after plastic and enamel ware came into play this amazing art form was superseded. Never been used but has some faint ware scratches on the bottom, the top is perfect even with the original makers paper label. Has 2 small Tamil inscriptions on the bottom side. 24. 5 cm diameter 2. 6 cm high
